Get Well Soon, Bunny!

Fluffin has not been eating very much since she got home. Today the vet gave us a lot of medicine and food to syringe feed her. Poor bunny! I know that this is just temporary, but it's so sad to see her sitting there in so much pain. Before her spay she would run up to see us and follow us around doing binkies. I hope she feels better soon.

A Trip to the Vet

Today we took our bunny to get spayed. As soon as we opened the door and walked into the animal hospital this morning she started shaking. I felt terrible. We picked her up about an hour and a half ago and I was very relieved that the surgery went well! When we got her home she ran right out of her carrier and I was worried that she would hurt herself. But then she hopped into her litterbox for some petting and fell asleep. I have no idea why she chose her litterbox to rest in - she normally likes to be stretched out on the tiles on the floor. She woke up several times but would fall asleep as soon as we started petting her again. When I rubbed her nose and cheeks her eyes shut and she lowered her head to the ground. It actually was the first time I've ever seen her close her eyes (she usually sleeps with them open). She made really cute sleeping bunny sounds. Awwww!!!

FINALLY home...Must play bridge building games!

Just got home from having lunch out. There was an invisible car accident on I-95 that led to stop and stop traffic. It was so bad that everyone got out of their cars to wait. People were standing all over the road, a couple of teenagers were walking their dog, a family of six sat down for a picnic lunch. Okay, so I made the last one up, but it was pretty bad.

In college, my husband and I were totally addicted to this free computer game called bridge builder. Well, now they have a 2006 version with new map packs! Get it FREE here. I definitely love this game, but some of the bridges are really hard to figure out.

I have been having difficulty on new level 7, so I tried looking for a solution online. In the process I stumbled upon a game called BridgeCraft. You can try it for FREE right here at the bottom of this post! It's a lot like bridge builder, but there are three types of bridge material and the game is way more cutesy. You can't move the pieces around after they are in place, but you don't have to download anything to play, the different bridge materials allow for more creativity, and you can skip levels! There are two difficulty options, easy and normal. I have been playing on normal.

I'm Back!

I know it has been a very long time since I've blogged. It was an extremely busy spring! Spring is always busy for teachers, what with MSA, end-of-year activities, cumulative folders, cleaning, and report cards, but this year was particularly crazy.

Anyway, the grad courses are going really well, the MSA coaching was fun but stressful (I hadn't planned on taking classes at the same time), I adore my etsy shop and my wonderful customers, my new job is beginning soon, and we have a closing on a beautiful townhouse coming up!

I sure am ready for a relaxing trip somewhere. Any suggestions?

We Cheer - A Review

I was looking for video games for my Wii around Christmastime and I stumbled upon the amazon reviews for We Cheer. At first I thought it looked pretty lame (it seemed to be geared towards kids and teens), but as I read more about it, I figured I would try it out. Why? Well, I love DDR and We Cheer was really cheap at the time. I didn't actually open the game until just recently, and it was definitely worth it! My arms are kind of sore from all of the cheering :-).

The characters are very cartoony. The ditzy laughter might drive you nuts. You don't automatically feel like a professional cheerleader. But the routines are fun, the music is decent, and if you are good at DDR, Guitar Hero, or Rock Band, the skill will come easily to you.

The only problem I had with the game was when I was doing a move that involved my hands being close together (you use 2 wii remotes to play). I accidentally smashed my finger between the remotes and it hurt a whole lot. But other than that, I definitely could spend some more time becoming an expert at this game. Oh, and I could definitely spend more time watching my husband play, too (he will do it, but only because I ask). That's just fun. :-D
